Kathua, November 6: A team from the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) on Thursday conducted a raid and survey at the residence of former minister Babu Singh in Kathua.
Sources said the operation was carried out as part of an ongoing investigation related to alleged financial irregularities and GST violations. Officials from the DGGI reached the former minister’s house early in the morning and examined several documents and records.
While the authorities have not released an official statement yet, sources indicated that the raid was part of a wider crackdown on tax evasion and financial improprieties in the region.
