DEO reviews preparedness for LS polls

District Election Officer Anshul Garg today chaired a meeting of Nodal officers overseeing various activities regarding General Election 2019.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Farooq Ahmad Baba, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Bashir Ahmad, JD Planning, Deputy DEO, DTO,
Threadbare discussions were held on manpower, randomization, training of polling staff, SVEEP activities, communication plan, transport plan, material arrangement, expenditure monitoring, EVM management, postal ballot management, establishment of helpline and complaint redressal, besides law and order issues.
The DEO stressed on conduct of SVEEP activities in each and every corner of the district and installation of informative hoardings at conspicuous places to disseminate the election related information among the voters. He asked the Nodal officers to go through the latest guidelines of ECI and submit the daily report to election cell as per ECI format.
The DIO (NIC) was asked to impart hands on training of IT Apps to all nodal officers and pin all polling stations on Google map.
The DEO directed the Nodal officers to remain vigilant and acquaint themselves with the knowledge, rules and regulations of Election Commission of . He directed them to work as a team for bridging the communication gap and to yield better results. He further stressed on adhering to MCC during elections.
