Srinagar, Dec 28: The Cyber Police Srinagar conducted a raid in the Rajbagh area on Sunday and detained two persons in connection with an online fraud case, officials said.
During the raid, police recovered office-related documents and electronic equipment, an officer said.
The action was taken in connection with FIR No. 20/2025 registered at Cyber Police Station Srinagar under Section 66(D) of the Information Technology Act and Section 112 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The detained persons were identified as Zaffar Ahmad Mir, a resident of Aramwari, Rajbagh, Srinagar, and Sudeep, a native of Nepal currently residing on rent in Aramwari, Rajbagh, the officer added.
Further investigation in the matter is underway. (KNC)
