    Covid claims 3 more lives, 99 test positive in JK

    Tawi, Mar 13: Covid-19 on Saturday claimed three more lives in Jammu and taking the toll of deaths related to Covid-19 to 1,974 while as 99 fresh positive cases were reported taking tally of positive cases to 127,535.

    Of the exact number of 127,535 cases, 75,341 are from Kashmir and 52,194 from Jammu division. Officials told that among 99 new cases, 75 belong to Kashmir division while as 24 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 75,341 including 73,418 recoveries and 1,244 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 52,194 including 51,262 recoveries and 730 deaths.

    The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 881 including 679 from Kashmir division and 202 from Jammu division.

    With 102 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 124,680 which is 97.76 percent of the total cases.

    In Jammu division, 25,382 including 24,844 recoveries and 377 deaths are from Jammu district, 4,321 including 4,258 recoveries and 57 deaths are from Udhampur, 3,878 including 3,821 recoveries and 55 deaths are from Rajouri, 3,440 including 3,374 recoveries and 64 deaths are from Doda, 3,269 including 3,212 recoveries and 53 deaths are from Kathua, 2,843 including 2,795 recoveries and 41 deaths are from Samba, 2,739 including 2,716 recoveries and 22 deaths are from Kishtwar, 2,532 including 2,496 recoveries and 24 deaths are from Poonch, 2,135 including 2,114 recoveries and 21 deaths are from Ramban and 1,655 including 1,632 recoveries and 16 deaths are from Reasi.

     

    “Cases tested positive in J&K include 24 from Jammu division include 14 from Jammu, 01 from Udhampur, 00 from Rajouri, 00 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 02 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 01 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 06 from Reasi while as 42 from Srinagar, 12 from Baramulla, 06 from Budgam, 02 from Pulwama, 00 from Kupwara, 04 from Anantnag, 02 from Bandipora, 02 from Ganderbal, 02 from Kulgam and 03 from Shopian in Kashmir division,” officials disclosed.

     

    As per officials figures, 27,520 positive cases including 464 deaths and 26,653 recoveries are from Srinagar, 8,385 including 177 deaths and 8,115 recoveries are from Baramulla, 7,961 including 7,787 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Budgam, 5,901 including 5,785 recoveries and 92 deaths are from Pulwama, 5,708 including 97 deaths and 5,600 recoveries are from Kupwara, 5,082 including 4,963 recoveries and 91 deaths are from Anantnag, 4,726 cases including 4,650 and 62 deaths are from Bandipora, 4,687 including 4,623 recoveries and 47 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,750 including 2,681 recoveries and 54 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,621 including 2,561 recoveries and 40 deaths are from Shopian.

    As per the daily information bulletin 1,384,247 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 29,369 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 881 persons are in isolation.

    According to the bulletin, 1,235,642 persons have completed surveillance period and 116,381 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 5,534,502 samples are available.

    Out of 5,534,502 the number of samples tested negative stands at 5,406,967 while as 127,535 have tested positive, among them 881 persons are active, 124,680 persons have recovered and 1,974 persons have died.
