Jammu Tawi, April 29:
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), expressed its serious concern over the latest power crisis prevailing in Jammu and Kashmir. It stated that the situation is impacting the industries across Jammu and Kashmir. Manufacturers are running out of capacity to absorb the long power cuts and the unscheduled curtailment is severely impacting the industries. This pattern if continued could severely dent the economic ecosystem across UT of J&K.
The Continuous power shutdowns are not only affecting the daily lives of citizens but have impacted the industries across J&K. We understand the power sector across India is facing difficult times but our humble submission to the government is to come out with scheduled power curtailment plans and the same should be followed by the PDD department across J&K. This will help industries adequately plan their backup.
While we understand the challenging situation the government is facing in terms of power procurement, it is equally important to ensure the least possible effect on industries in general and the public at large
We are hopeful that the administration of J&K will take all necessary steps on an urgent basis in the coming days to provide relief to industries in J&K
