    Charge-sheets filed against 9 accused for duping people for medical seats, visas, jobs

    Jammu, June 26: The Jammu Crime Branch on Thursday filed five charge-sheets against several accused for duping people of their hard-earned money on the pretext of arranging MBBS seats, visas and jobs.

    The accused had duped people of an amount of over 35 lakh rupees.

    The Crime Branch as per the handout, has produced challan against accused namely Alok Kumar of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, Maneer Ahmed Bhat of Gandoh Bhalessa, Doda against whom FIR was registered and proved on the complaint of Dr Mumtaz Hussian Shah Bukhari from Surankote, Poonch wherein it was alleged that accused duped him of Rs. 12 lakhs for arranging two MBBS seats to his daughters in Batra Hospital Sidhra, Jammu.

    In another case, it is stated that registered and proved on the complaint of Rakesh Kumar of Rattanpur Gajansoo Marh, Jammu regarding duping Rs.9.42 lakh on the pretext of providing machinery for business, Crime Branch submitted challan against Prop of M/S Vijay Industries Rakesh Sareen of Vikas Nagar, Uttam Nagar Delhi.

    In yet another case, the handout stated that the Crime Branch has filed charge-sheet against accused Shafiq Ahmed Lone of Ferozpura, Tangmarg, District Baramulla, Kashmir, Mohd Inam-Ul-Haq of New Delhi, Firoz khan of Noida (UP) for duping complainant Satpal Sharma of Ward Number 13 R S Pura Jammu of Rs 6,50,000 for providing fake and forged Visa and fake job offer letters to his son.

    The Crime Branch also submitted a charge-sheet against accused Varinder Kumar of Sirhind Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab.

    FIR was registered and proved upon written complaint of Vijay Kumar of Village Sailsul, Tehsil Kalakote, Rajouri alleging therein that accused duped him of his huge hard-earned money on the pretext of arranging work visa.

    Senior Superintendent of Police Crime Jammu, Benam Tosh said that besides, Crime Branch also produced challan against accused Pawan Kumar of Chandigarh, Naresh Kumar of Chandigarh against whom FIR was registered and proved on the written complaint of Bachan Lal, Sudhir Kumar, both from Gho Manhasan, Jammu, who alleged that they were duped of Rs. Rs 6.41 lakh on the pretext of providing jobs as supervisors in Pirus Security and Allied Services Pvt. Ltd.

    The SSP confirmed that charge-sheets have been filed in the courts of law for judicial determination.
