B Srinivasan appointed Puducherry DGP, 4 IAS/IPS transferred from J&K

Tawi, Jun 8: In a series of DGP-level appointments involving cadre IPS officers, B Srinivasan – who had been heading the CID wing of Jammu and police since 2018 – was on Thursday appointed as the DGP of Puducherry while IGP of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Anil Shukla was posted as the police chief of Mizoram.


According to the order, Anuj Kumar, IPS (2016) and Saurabh Mishra, IAS (2015) have been transferred to Jammu and Kashmir.
Devesh Chandra Srivastava, the incumbent DGP of Mizoram, has been appointed DGP of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, replacing Neeraj Thakur who will be given a posting in Delhi. Manoj Kumar Lal, incumbent DGP of Puducherry, has also been called to Delhi for further posting.
Anand Mohan, a 1994 batch IPS officer, will join as DGP of Arunachal Pradesh, replacing Satish Golcha who will now be posted in Delhi.

Shukla, a 1996 batch IPS officer of AGMUT cadre who will take over as the DGP of Mizoram, has earlier served in the Investigation Agency. He had led investigations into several terror-related cases in Jammu and Kashmir, including the one against Kashmiri separatists.
