All Three Pahalgam Attackers Killed in Operation Mahadev: Amit Shah

New Delhi, July 29 — Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday announced in Parliament that all three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists involved in the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack were killed in a joint security operation named Operation Mahadev.

Speaking during the discussion on Operation Sindoor, Shah revealed that the terrorists — top Lashkar commander Suleiman Shah, a terrorist identified as “Afghan,” and another named Jibran — were neutralized by a coordinated effort involving the Indian Army, CRPF, and Jammu and Kashmir Police.

“Innocent civilians were killed in front of their families after being asked their religion in Baisaran Valley. The perpetrators of this brutal attack have now been eliminated,” Shah stated.

He added that the terrorists were identified by individuals who had earlier provided them with shelter and were detained by security agencies. “Once their bodies were brought to Srinagar, those under detention confirmed their identities,” Shah said, crediting timely intelligence and coordination for the success of the operation.

The killing of the trio is being hailed as a significant blow to Lashkar-e-Taiba’s operations in the Kashmir Valley. (Agencies)
