Adm Secy DSE promoted to Principal Secy

Tawi, May 31: The General Administration Department on Monday designated the incumbent Administrative Secretary to government School Department B K Singh as Principal Secretary.

General Administration Department said that there was a dearth of Indian Administrative (IAS) officers in Jammu and and thus designated Singh as a Principal Secretary to government for School Education Department.

GAD in an order said, “In view of the acute shortage of IAS officers in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, B.K. Singh, IFS (JK: 1989) has been posted as administrative secretary, School Education Department in October-2020.”

“In the meantime, the department of Forest, Ecology and on February-16-2021 among others promoted, B.K Singh IFS to the level of Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Level 16 of the Pay matrix), the officer, accordingly, requested for considering his designation as Principal Secretary to the Government,” it reads.

It was also stated that the matter has been examined in the Government of Jammu and Kashmir and with the approval of the competent authority, B K Singh, IFS (1989), Administrative Secretary for School Education department has been designated as Principal Secretary to the Government for the School Education Department
