Srinagar, July 13: Anti-Corruption Bureau Kashmir on Monday produced chargesheet against former Executive Engineer Jammu and Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation (JKPCC), Parvaiz Ahmad Naqash in alleged disproportionate assets case.
In a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), ACB said that it presented a charge sheet in a case under FIR number 45/2007 under sections 5(1) (e) r/w 5(2) PC Act. Svt. 2006 P/S ACB against the former Executive Engineer Parvaiz Ahmad Naqash, son of Ghulam Ahmad Naqash of Peerbagh Srinagar in the court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Srinagar.
“The instant case was registered in this Bureau against the accused with regard to accumulation of disproportionate assets beyond his known source of income on the basis of verification conducted by State Vigilance Organization (Now ACB),” ACB said.
The statement reads that several movable and immovable properties have been acquired by Parvaiz Ahmad Naqas, which include two palatial houses at Peerbagh, Hyderpora, two cars and several bank accounts having sums in lacs were detected during the investigation of the case.
“During the course of investigation the charges were proved against the accused. Subsequently, sanction under relevant law was obtained from the competent authority in favour of the accused for judicial determination for commission of offences,” the statement added—(KNO)
