    Civil Court restrains suspended JKCA president from acting on behalf of Assn, stays SGM

    Jammu, July 3: The Court of the Learned Sub Judge and Special Mobile Magistrate, Jammu, in the suit filed against former President Javed Ahmad Kitab has stayed the operation of the impugned notice of June 25 wherein the former president had called for a special general meeting.

    Court has also stayed the press statement dated June 27, 2026 issued by him and all consequential actions arising there from.

    As per the official communiqué issued by the office of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), the Court on July 2, 2026 after hearing Rahul Pant, Senior Advocate, assisted by Rajat Gupta, Advocate has stayed the operation of the impugned notice dated June 25, 2026 wherein the former president had called for a Special General Meeting (SGM).

    As per the handout, the Court has also restrained Javed Ahmad Kitab from representing himself as exercising the powers of the Office of the President of JKCA before members, affiliated units, public authorities, financial institutions and other stakeholders.

    He has further been restrained from issuing any communication or taking administrative decisions in the name of JKCA until the next date of hearing.

    JKCA welcomes the order of the Court and reiterates its commitment to transparent, constitutional and lawful administration of the Association.

    The Association remains dedicated to safeguarding the interests of players, affiliated units and all stakeholders while ensuring that the affairs of JKCA are conducted strictly in accordance with its Constitution and the law. (UNI)
