JAMMU, June 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a high-level Organizing Committee to oversee and monitor preparations for the International Film Festival of Jammu and Kashmir (IFFJK) 2026, scheduled to be held from September 7 to 11.
According to an official Government order, the committee will coordinate and supervise all arrangements to ensure the successful conduct of the five-day festival. It has also been tasked with coordinating with the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) and other stakeholders for planning and execution of the event.
The committee will oversee hospitality, accommodation, transportation, protocol, security and other logistical arrangements for delegates, participants and guests. It will also coordinate with various government departments for timely execution of festival-related activities and infrastructure support.
The Government said the festival is aimed at showcasing Jammu and Kashmir as a premier destination for filmmaking, film tourism and the creative industries, while the committee will monitor overall preparations and resolve inter-departmental issues to ensure its smooth conduct.
