Delhi Blast: AIU Suspends Al Falah University’s Membership

New Delhi, Nov 13: The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) on Thursday suspended the membership of Al Falah University, which has come under intense scrutiny following revelations linked to the Red Fort blast investigation, officials said.

AIU Secretary General Pankaj Mittal said the university was found “not in good standing,” a prerequisite for continued membership under the organisation’s bye-laws. With immediate effect, Al Falah University is no longer authorized to use the AIU name or logo, which must be removed from all official platforms, she added.

Al Falah University in Dhauj, Faridabad — a private institution with an attached hospital — came under the scanner after agencies busted an alleged “white-collar terror module.” Several individuals, including three doctors associated with the university, were arrested.

The development comes days after a high-intensity explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort killed 13 people and injured several others. The blast occurred hours after the arrests linked to the module, deepening suspicion over possible connections to the university. (Agencies)
