Jammu Tawi, July 28:
Jammu Kashmir Government has relieved Dr. Sunil Gupta, IPS (2005), from the post of IGP Crime J&K to enable him to take up a new assignment outside the Union Territory, with effect from July 28.
Consequently, Sujit Kumar, IPS (2007), currently serving as IGP Security J&K, has been given the additional charge of IGP Crime J&K until further orders.
In another order, the Government transferred and posted two Indian Police Service (IPS) officers and nine Jammu and Kashmir Police Service (JKPS) officers “in the interest of administration,” with immediate effect.
As per the order, Vinod Kumar, IPS (2011), DIG Armed Jammu, has been transferred and posted as DIG IRP Jammu against an available vacancy. Sameer Sharma, IPS (2011), who was awaiting posting, has been posted as DIG Armed Jammu in place of Shri Vinod Kumar.
Kulbir Singh, JKPS (1999), SSP Ramban, has been transferred and posted as Director, Commando Training Centre, Lethpora, against an available vacancy. Randeep Kumar, JKPS (1999), SSP Security HQ, J&K, has been transferred and posted as SSP PTWS Jammu, against an available vacancy. Arun Gupta, JKPS (2001), SSP SB CID Jammu, has been transferred and posted as SSP Ramban vice Kulbir Singh.
Liaqat Ali, JKPS (2001), SO to Commandant General HG/CD/SDRF, J&K, has been transferred and posted as SSP PTWS Kashmir, against an available vacancy. Jameel Ahmad, JKPS (2001), Principal STC Sheeri, shall hold the charge of the post of Commandant IR-13, in addition to his own duties. Mohd. Rafi Giri, JKPS (2008), Dy. CO 2nd Border Bn., has been transferred and posted as SO to Commandant General HG/CD/SDRF, J&K vice Liaqat Ali.
Sunil Kumar Kesar, JKPS (2011), Addl. SP (Ops) Doda, has been transferred and posted as Dy.CO IR-15, against an available vacancy. Zahid Aziz Samoon, JKPS (2011), Dy.SP (Ops) Pulwama, has been transferred and posted as Dy.CO IR-17 against an available vacancy. Devinder Singh Bandral, JKPS (2012), Dy.CO IR-1, has been transferred and posted as Addl. SP (Ops) Doda vice Sunil Kumar Kesar.
