ABVP demands apology from MLA Pathania over remarks against IAF

Jammu Tawi:  The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jammu Kashmir has strongly condemned the controversial remarks made by Udhampur East MLA RS Pathania against the Indian Air Force, calling them “derogatory” and “an affront to the dignity and sacrifices” of the armed forces.

In an official statement, ABVP Jammu Kashmir demanded an unconditional apology from the BJP legislator, urging him to “introspect and understand the gravity of his words,” which the organization warned could seriously affect national morale and sentiment.

“We stand in complete solidarity with the Indian Air Force and all our armed forces personnel who work tirelessly to safeguard the sovereignty and integrity of the nation,” said Sannak Shrivats, State Secretary of ABVP Jammu Kashmir. “Such reckless statements are unacceptable and display blatant disrespect toward the bravery and dedication of our soldiers.”

Shrivats emphasized that as a public representative, it is MLA Pathania’s duty to uphold national dignity rather than undermine it. “We will not tolerate any attempt to demean the honour of our armed forces. The people of this country revere their military — and we demand a public retraction and apology from the MLA,” he added.

ABVP also appealed to citizens to stand united in preserving the sanctity and honour of India’s armed forces and to reject any rhetoric that disrespects national heroes.
