REASI, Mar 11: At least four people were killed and eight others injured early Tuesday when a tempo vehicle veered off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials reported.
The incident occurred when the tempo, traveling from Jammu to Bagankote, lost control and skidded into the gorge. Four passengers died on the spot, while eight others sustained injuries. Local volunteers, along with police and allied field agencies, immediately rushed to the scene and transported the injured to the hospital. The condition of the injured individuals has not been confirmed as of now.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, with preliminary reports suggesting that the driver may have lost control of the vehicle. Further updates are awaited.
