Jammu Tawi: Sunil Dimple, president of Mission Statehood, extended his full support to the ongoing 80-day-long agitation of the Movement Kalki by joining a protest rally in Jammu city. The rally was held in support of demands to protect cows and grant them national mother status.
Addressing the rally, Dimple called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to introduce a bill in Parliament that would ban cow smuggling, slaughtering, and grant cows the status of “national mother.” He also urged Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah to instruct J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to introduce similar legislation in the J&K Assembly to ban cow slaughter.
Dimple further threatened to call for a Jammu bandh in support of granting national mother status to cows if the demands are not met. He sharply criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for its silence on the 80-day-old protest, which aims to save cows, and condemned the party’s 28 MLAs and two Members of Parliament for not taking action.
Demanding life imprisonment and severe punishment for cow smugglers and slaughterers, Dimple reiterated his call for cows to be granted “Rashtriya Mata” (National Mother) status in India. He expressed unwavering support for the cause, assuring that Mission Statehood would continue to advocate for the cow’s protection.
Other notable leaders present at the rally included Spana Indu, Neha Malhotra, Sunita Kunda, Mrs. Sunita, Monika Sharma, Deepak Singh, Pritam Sharma, Karnail Singh, Dr. Sudeh Sharma, Pawan Narang, Sunny Kapahi, Sanjev Kohli, Baba Khandeshwar Ji, and many others.
