Jammu Tawi, Dec 3: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has reconstituted a seven-member committee to oversee the recruitment of new pilots and the extension of services for existing ones.
As per Government Order No. 2021-JK(GAD) of 2024, issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the committee will be headed by the Administrative Secretary of the Civil Aviation Department. The Administrative Officer of the Civil Aviation Commissioner will serve as the secretary of the committee. Additional members include the Director General (Codes) from the Finance Department, the Director Finance of the Civil Aviation Department, a senior representative from GAD (not below the rank of Additional Secretary), the Additional Secretary of the Civil Aviation Department, and the Accountable Manager of the Civil Aviation Department.
The committee’s primary responsibility will be to formulate the eligibility criteria and qualifications for pilot and co-pilot recruitment, subject to the approval of the Chief Minister.
