Srinagar, November 7: A terrorist was neutralized in an encounter with security forces in the Margi area of Lolab, Kupwara district, on Thursday. The operation, launched after a cordon and search was initiated by security forces, resulted in the death of the militant.
Following the successful operation, authorities recovered significant weapons and ammunition from the site, including an AK rifle, two hand grenades, and four AK rifle magazines. The identity of the slain terrorist has not yet been revealed, and further investigations are underway.
Security forces have been conducting targeted operations across Jammu and Kashmir to eliminate militant threats and ensure the safety of civilians. This operation is part of the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in the region.
