Bollywood stars almost got into an altercation while overseas
Leading Bollywood actors Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi are known for their strong bond and unmatched on-screen chemistry. In a recent interview, Warsi shared an intriguing story from one of their overseas shoots that almost resulted in a scuffle.
Warsi recalled shooting for their 2006 film ‘Anthony Kaun Hai?’ in Bangkok, Thailand. One evening after wrapping up, the crew including Dutt, Warsi, actor Anusha Dandekar and others decided to grab a bite. While walking ahead, Dandekar reportedly faced unwanted attention from two inebriated foreigners. When they began circling her inappropriately, Warsi and Dutt immediately stepped up to intervene.
A confrontation was about to ensue between the two sides. However, the situation took an unexpected turn as onlookers started recognizing Dutt due to his fame. They began recording videos of the brewing dispute on their phones. This distracted the foreigners who seemed perplexed by the crowd’s interest. Sensing the commotion, others identified Dutt by his popular nickname ‘Baba’ which made the foreigners scurry away quickly, believing they were locals with influence.
Warsi expressed that while such unsavory incidents are common for women in public spaces, having Dutt’s support made him feel secure. Their unspoken bond and teamwork to defuse a tense scenario in an instant demonstrate the trust and camaraderie between the longtime colleagues. Fans can look forward to another collaboration between the popular duo in the upcoming courtroom drama ‘Jail’ scheduled to release later this year.
