Tragic Loss for Family after Young Girl’s Sudden Death
A peaceful family outing turned tragic last weekend when an eight-year-old girl suddenly passed away. According to reports, the young victim was allegedly smothered by her twelve-year-old cousin during a fight over the use of an iPhone. The children had been at their grandmother’s house along with other family members when the incident occurred.
Sources state that the two cousins began arguing over the device, which then escalated into a physical confrontation. Tragically, the older girl is said to have placed her hand over the victim’s mouth and nose, blocking her airway. Even after the eight-year-old lost consciousness, she did not remove her hand. Other relatives present were unable to separate the girls in time to save the young victim.
Paramedics rushed the unresponsive child to a local hospital, but she sadly could not be revived. The tragic loss has understandably left the family devastated. A police spokesperson said the twelve-year-old is currently in custody and facing possible charges. They continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the disturbing case.
The victim’s heartbroken mother spoke of her unbearable emotional pain, saying “She was my everything. I can’t believe she’s gone”.
