Retired jurists to unfurl Tricolour at Lal Chowk today

    Date:

SRINAGAR, Jun 17: Retired judges and jurists, headed by Supreme Court Bar Association president Adish Aggarwala are going to hoist the Flag at Lal Chowk here on Sunday.

In a statement, the All Bar Association said, “A delegation of retired judges and top jurists of India, led by the Council of Jurists President and Senior Advocate Dr Adish C Aggarwala, is to unfurl the National Flag at Srinagar's iconic Lal Chowk on June 18.”

Dr Aggarwala, who is also the president of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) said the “gesture was meant to demonstrate the ground reality to the international community that Jammu and has returned to normalcy after the Narendra Modi government's brave decision to scrap the Article 370 of the Constitution”.

“The abrogation of Article 370 was not only wise but has also taken the wind out of Pakistan's sails on the Kashmir issue despite the (country's) never-ending nefarious designs,” he said.
