Jammu Tawi: Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research celebrated Dhanwantari Jayanti, 6th Ayurveda Day. The theme for Ayurveda Day 2021 was “Ayurveda for Poshan”. The celebration started on 29th October 2021 with Ayurveda Poshan Awareness Lectures and Medical Camps in the surrounding villages.
In the campus various competitions like Poster, Debate, Essay, Fireless cooking, Rangoli were organised. On 2nd November 2021 the installation of Lord Dhanwantari and unveiling of bust of Founder Chairman Late Dr. Roop Lal Sharma was the key event.
Chief Guest Bharat Bhushan, Chairman, District Development Council, Jammu and Guest of Honour Sunil Singh, SDPO, Domana, Jammu graced the occasion and did the Honours by unveiling the statue of Founder Chairman. Dhanwantari Hawan was performed by Aadiyogi Swami Shree Gautam Ji. Members of Aarogya Bharti and Vishwa Ayurveda Parishad were also present as Guests. Sarpanch Kuljeet Singh was also invited.
The programme was organised by Chairperson Shri Sain Charitable Trust Suman Sharma, and other members of Management Ritesh Sharma, Ravish Sharma, Japna Sharma, Jasudha Sharma, Sakshi Sharma, Director Academics, Dr. Raghuvir Singh, Principal, Dr. Sharada, and Vice Principal Dr. Nitin Mahajan. All the Faculty members and students actively participated in the Programme.
