Jammu Tawi: Six photo-artists from Jammu & Kashmir viz. O P Sharma, Vishal Kapur, Neeraj Upadhyay, Jaipal Singh Bandral, Sanjay Kumar and Agrim Pandotra displayed their talent in an Online 4th Photo Exhibition organized by Photo Asian and Ganesha Arts to commemorate 75th Independence Day and World Photography Day. The exhibition was inaugurated on 19th August, 2021 by Adwaita Gadanaik Director General, National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi. The seventy two works by thirty six eminent, well- known and amateur photo- artists of Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Gujrat and West Bengal have been displayed in the exhibition.
The participating photo- artists of different states of India, other than Jammu & Kashmir, include Arpit Gupta, Ashwani Nagpal, Ashwani Attri, Bunny Smith, Capt. Santosh Kumar, Chhatra Singh, Dr. Bhola Nath, Dr. Manisha Bajpai, Dr. Shishir Bansal, Hemant Rawat, Kamal Rastogi, Kartik Srivastava, Lippi Parida, Master Krish Gupta, Mohanned Shafiq, Nainika Gupta, Naresh Sharma, Pardeep Gaur, Priya
Kumar, Rajeev Tyagi, Randhir Singh, Ravi Batra, Seema Gupta, Shekhar Ghosh, Simon Massey, Sunil Malhotra, Virendra Singh, Vishal Sexena and Vivek Yadav.
According to joint statement by Naresh Sharma, Founder, Photo Asian and Kunal Kapoor, Managing Director, Ganesha Arts, “The motive of the exhibition is to make people understand the importance of Photography and motivate the photographers and would provide the viewers to have a glimpse of the precious images of the participants.”
The organizers intend to make efforts to explore more and more opportunities to organize such events at state, national and international levels, and felicitate the artists at different platforms.
