Jammu Tawi, Sep 27: A total of 30 students from Jammu's Sainik School Nagrota (SSN) have cleared the NDA (National Defence Academy) and (Naval Academy) exam and are just one step away from realizing their dreams of becoming officers in the armed forces.
Thirty cadets of SSN cleared written examinations for National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission recently.
“Out of these 30 Cadets, 09 Cadets are from the current batch (2023-24) and 21 cadets from the 2022-23 batch of class XII,” said Jammu based defence spokesperson Lt Col Suneel Bartwal. He added that these cadets will appear for Services Selection Board (SSB) interview soon.
“The recommended candidates will be called, as per merit, for joining NDA 152nd course at Khadakwasla, Maharashtra and (INA) Indian Naval Academy 114th course, Ezhimala, Kerala,” he said.
Captain (Indian Navy) AK Desai, Principal, Sainik School Nagrota congratulated the cadets and the faculty for achieving this commendable feat in the UPSC-NDA written examination and highlighted that the dedicated and sincere efforts by one and all have resulted in the remarkable performance of the Cadets. The Principal mentioned that Sainik School Nagrota provides an ideal grooming ground to cadets and develops them as balanced personalities through a variety of academic and co-curricular activities. He expressed hope that the qualities of mind, body and character acquired by cadets in the school will enable them to clear SSB interview successfully.
Moreover, the National Cadet Corps Directorate Jammu –Kashmir and Ladakh organized SSB Super-30 Capsule for cadets in Nagrota. 30 cadets aspiring to join the Armed forces from far flung areas of Jammu, Kupwara, Baramula, Leh and Ladakh are attending the course. During this course Brig Sagar was introduced to Neuro Linguistic Programming for the very first time in India by Brig Dr. Vijay Sagar Dheman (Retd), MD International Institute for J&K Studies and Analysis.
