3 killed in Reasi landslide

Reasi, Aug 25: A landslide in Khour village of Reasi district of Division claimed the life of a woman, her husband and another man. Several buffaloes belonging to this nomad family were also killed in this incident.
According to an official, at least three persons were buried alive under the debris after a landslide triggered due to rainfall hit Khour area on the intervening night of August 24-25. The persons, two of whom remained untraced till Tuesday afternoon were identified as Khalil Ahmed (30) son of Muhammad Rafiq of Jamlan, his wife Raksana Begam (25) and Mohammad Aslam son of Muhammad Rafiq, all natives of Mahore.
SHO Mahore, Inspector Rattan Singh, said all three dead bodies were recovered by Tuesday afternoon while several buffaloes were also killed in this natural calamity. (CNS)
