Srinagar, Apr 12: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday said that Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and Superintendents of Police (SPs) have been asked to facilitate observance of prayers during curfew timings in the holy month of Ramadan.
The information was shared by LG through a tweet, a day after the religious organizations appealed to the administration to ensure that the prayers are allowed during the night curfew hours.
“Have directed DCs/SPs to facilitate observance of prayers/ religious functions during the holy month of Ramzan during curfew timings, wherever necessary,” Office of the LG tweeted.
Pertinently, the government has imposed night curfew in several districts of Jammu and Kashmir in wake of the surge in COVID-19 cases.
