Jammu Tawi: SCERT- J&K Divisional Office Jammu is organising 3-Days Online Workshop on Formulation of Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act-2009-Rules, named as J&K RTE Rules 2020, taking a step forward for implementation of Right to Education Act 2009 in the UT of J&K.
Pertinent to mention that School Education Department has prepared J&K Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Rules 2020, which were vetted by Department of Law and accordingly submitted to competent authority for approval. In response, GAD constituted a committee vide Govt Order No:877-JK (GAD) of 2020 dated: 21.09.2020 under the chairmanship of Commissioner Secretary GAD to scrutinizing the J&K RTE Rules 2020 for financial and other implications to ensure that the requirements of JKUT are appropriately taken care of. The constituted committee has submitted its preliminary report. Today was the 1st day of the workshop and Resource Persons for the day’s session
were Mohd Rafi- Ex Director SED Kashmir, Ajeet Sharma Principal HSS Kud and Ankita Sharma, a luminary of National Law University Shimla.
The Programme was co-ordinated by P.S.Billowaria Sr Academic Officer, SCERT J&K Jammu. Workshop is being conducted under the supervision of Surinder Kumar, Joint Director SCERT J&K, Jammu. Irvinder Kour Asstt Professor, SCERT Jammu is acting as Convenor, B.D.Sharma, Vaishali and Sabeta Kohli Sr.Academic Officers are Assistant Co-ordinator whereas Lovely Sharma, Master, Yougal Koshore & Akash Khajuria Teachers are providing technical support.
