Won't allow functioning till debate on Kashmir uprising: Jora
Jammu Tawi, Jan 2 : The Opposition parties have unanimously decided that they won't allow the ongoing budget session to run smoothly till the government doesn't hold a debate on the Kashmir unrest.
Congress party's leader of Opposition in the house, Nawang Rigzin Jora said they (NC, Congress and some independent legislators) have submitted a motion before the Speaker that the government should first hold a debate about some controversial issues and the last summer uprising in Kashmir.
“We won't allow government to discuss budget speech of governor and other proceedings of the house till the government doesn't come clean on its stand,” Jora added.
Jora added that over 800 persons have been slapped with PSA and dozens were blinded during the uprising.
