Women Advocates sit on hunger-strike on 2nd day

The hunger strike being observed by the Jammu Bar Association today entered 2nd day with women advocate taking over the platform.

To intensify their agitation, the members of the Association have decided to start Token Hunger Strike from 04-12-2019 in support of their demands regarding divesting Judicial Magistrate the assignments of registration of documents and simultaneously conferring the same upon the Revenue officials and a formal announcement on dropping of proposal of shifting Jammu Bench of J&K High Court to Raika.

 

On 2nd day today, to continue the token hunger strike, the lady members of the Association along with other advocates sat on hunger strike. Among those who sat on hunger strike are;

Ms. Mandeep Reen, Ms Upasana Thakur, General Secretary YLA, Ms. Salisha, Ms. Rashim, Ms. Surbhi Kohli, Pardeep Majotra Joint Secretary, Mr. Suraj Singh Plathia, Mr Manjeet Singh Manhas, Mr . Vishal Salaria.

In addition to aforesaid members  other members  of the Association who were present are office bearers of JKHCBAJ namely S/Sh. Rohit Bhagat, Vice President, Abhishek Wazir General Secretary, & Sushant Samnotra Treasurer and also number of senior members namely Mr. M.K. Bhardwaj,  Mrs Surinder Kour, Mr. Ashok Sharma also came in support of the members present at Dharna site. The J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, is continuing its ongoing agitation till the demands are fulfilled.

The Association urged upon the Government to fulfill the demands of the Advocates for which the Advocates are agitating for the last 36 days.
