When Bollywood director Farah Khan schooled a DJ for playing ‘funeral music' at her party
Bollywood director and choreographer Farah Khan recently recalled an amusing incident on Kapil Sharma's talk show where she candidly revealed scolding a DJ at one of her house parties for playing what she thought were “sad songs”. Only later did she realize the songs being played were global pop sensation Ed Sheeran's hits.
Speaking on the show, Farah shared how during a star-studded bash at her residence, she was enjoying herself until the music took a melancholy turn. After having a few drinks, she walked up to the DJ and angrily asked “Why are you playing such depressing tunes that sound like something from a funeral? Play something lively!”
The DJ was perplexed by Farah's reaction but informed her the songs were chartbuster hits by Ed Sheeran. A surprised Farah laughingly admitted to having no clue who Ed Sheeran was at the time. It was only later through Abhishek Bachchan that she learned he was the most popular artist globally.
Ed Sheeran, who was visiting India for his concert tours, had joined the bash and was having a gala time mingling with Bollywood's elite. Farah also mentioned how Ed enjoyed the party's vibe and wanted to hear Bollywood tracks over his own music. He even sent VIP passes for his show as a token of gratitude for the hospitality.
