There are many fields and sectors in Jammu and Kashmir where the entities work under severe hardships to keep the life going but the persons involved never get the recognition which they truly deserve.
One of the vital organization in this context is the Border Roads Organization (BRO), which is responsible for the construction and maintenance of strategic road links in the Union Territory and for accomplishing this job the personnel of this institution have to carry out difficult physical activity besides going for strategic planning and executing things while confronting tasks which often are challenging and hard to surmount.
In this context, reportedly the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has completed another daring job by restoring vital 112-kilometre road, reconnecting Kishtwar and Gulabgarh Paddar with Himachal Pradesh via Sansari, J&K-HP border point, after intensive snow clearance operation carried out under extreme weather conditions.
This is not the first time that BRO personnel have done something of this sort because there are many important road links across J&K and even outside, which comes under the responsibility of BRO and its personnel work day and night to keep the roads falling under this organization’s jurisdiction to remain through under different conditions confronting snowfall, rains, landslides and other challenges.
Despite the heroic deeds of BRO personnel, hardly their accomplishments come into limelight, which is not a good thing. It is necessary that these personnel rather one can say that unsung heroes should be given recognition as far as possible for rendering yeoman’s services to the nation.
Braving harsh winters and battling with heavy snowfall, the BRO personnel have cleared the Kishtwar-Paddar-Sansari road which links Jammu and Kashmir with the Pangi Valley and Lahaul-Spiti region of Himachal Pradesh.
Similarly, these daredevils have been carrying out rapid snow-clearance operations on the Mughal Road connecting the twin regions of Kashmir and Jammu, aiming to reopen the highway at the earliest.
Hats off to these people who work under crucial conditions to ensure road connectivity to remain through at difficult times as the same is vital for education, healthcare, and transportation of essential commodities especially in mountainous regions.
