Two dies; 144 fresh cases in J&K

    Jammu Tawi, Nov 16: Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday witnessed two deaths and 144 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,544.

    With two more deaths, the death toll in the UT stands at 4,455 and 144 fresh positive cases reported on Tuesday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 334,432.

    Of the exact number of 334,432 cases, 209,784 are from Kashmir division and 124,648 from Jammu division. Among 144 new cases, 125 belong to Kashmir division while as 19 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 209,784 including 206,192 recoveries and 2,276 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 124,648 including 122,241 recoveries and 2,179 deaths

    The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,544 including 1,316 from Kashmir division and 228 from Jammu division.

    With 103 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 328,433 which is 98.20 percent of the total cases.

    “Cases tested positive in J&K include 51 from Srinagar, 21 from Baramulla, 06 from Budgam, 12 from Pulwama, 09 from Kupwara, 02 from Anantnag, 08 from Bandipora, 16 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 19 from Jammu division include 13 from Jammu, 02 from Udhampur, 01 from Rajouri, 01 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 02 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
