Tourism Ministry delegation visits Kashmir

    Srinagar, Apr 09: In a major boost towards increasing the potential of Tourism in the valley a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with Tourism Department of Jammu Kashmir, under the theme of “TAPPING THE POTENTIAL OF KASHMIR, ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE” is scheduled to visit the valley on 11th April 2021.

    A top official in the Tourism Ministry told that the delegation will consist of the senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism, Incredible India, Ambassadors from different countries, members of the India Golf Tourism Association and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce.

    Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture Prahlad Singh Patel and Chief Guest on the occasion, Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha will virtually address the delegates invited for the event, an official said.

    The event’s aim is to highlight the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir’s diverse tourism products and encourage more Tourism to Jammu & Kashmir as leisure, adventure, eco, wedding, and MICE destination, an official from the Ministry of Tourism told KNO.

    “On the sidelines of the visit on the 13th of April 2021, a Golf Tournament will also be held at Srinagar’s Royal Springs Golf Course for important invitees, including diplomats from different countries as well as other top golfers in the region, which will talk about the potential of Golf in the valley and can attract Golf loving players from the other parts of the country”, an official said.

    An official said famous cricketer and golfer Kapil Dev is also invited and is likely to come to participate in the Golf tournament.

    Pertinent to mention that the Tourism Department of Jammu and Kashmir showcased the beauty and Tourist destinations of Kashmir in different parts of the country through different programs and shows, which has attracted a huge number of visitors in the valley.
