Poonch, (Jammu Division) June 4: The Sikh Sangat and Management of Gurdwara Yaadgaar Bhai Bahadur Singh ji Dharmsal Kharrhi today honoured Parasanjeet Kour who recently who cracked the prestigious Civil Services Examination UPSC with 11th rank all over India .
In a special congregation, Parasanjeet Kour with his family members were honoured traditionally with Siropas and a Shield. The daughter of Poonch is the second woman who cleared the IAS from the district that too with distinction after Rehana Bashir of village Salwah, Mendhar who qualified civil services four years back.
Parasnjeet did her graduation from her hometown Poonch town and with her dedication and hardwork broke the myth that nothing is impossible if someone has dreamed to touch the heights in life.
Raagi Jathas recited the shabad keertan from Gurbani and speakers praised the achievement of Prasanjeet Harcharan Singh Federation Head, Hardev Singh President honoured her and urged the young boys and girls to get inspiration from this shining star.
In a separate programme rich tributes were paid to the martyrs of June 1984. It is pertinent to mention here that during the month of June a Samagam is held here every year near the Chakan Da Bagh Trade centre at LOC . This year the final programme will be held on 2nd of July Sunday in which thousands of Sangat will participate and Raagi Jathas, Sikh Scholars from far and wide will participate.
