Rajouri, March 10

Despite being transferred to another block, as a punishment for allegedly indulging into corrupt practices, the accused officer continued to exert pressure on senior officers to regain his previous posting in Sunderbani Tehsil.

Reports suggested that the Technical Assistant, who was working as a Junior Engineer in the REW BDO block Sunderbani, has been implicated in corrupt practices, disregarding the authority of senior officers, including the BDO and A.C D

“The officer withdrew full payment for only 30 percent of the completed work. Despite multiple complaints and reports to senior officers, no decisive action was taken initially,” said sources, adding that however, when the matter came to the attention of the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, prompt  action was taken and the accused officer was subsequently transferred from Sunderbani to Khwas.

Meanwhile, other employees within the department, wishing anonymity shared that despite being transferred to another block as a punishment, this Technical Assitant is now pressuring senior officers to get his choice posting, wherein he can allegedly indulge into corrupt practices to gain easy money.

They have urged the Commissioner Secretary to stand firm on the transfer decision and relocate the Technical Assistant to a place where he can learn the true values of sincerity and accountability.

Additionally, they have also requested the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to investigate the officer's assets, given his reportedly lavish lifestyle.
