Jammu, Sept 05: To recognise and honour the outstanding contribution and dedication of Narinder Singh Slathia towards Tawi Trekkers J&K, the Club has instituted an annual ‘Dedication Award' in his memory to be named ‘Narinder Singh Dedication Award'. This was decided in a meeting of the Club organised under the chairmanship of Ashwani Sharma, former Legislator and patron of the club, to condole the untimely demise of Narinder Singh Slathia, a pillar of the club.
The members were greatly shocked to know about the sudden demise of Narinder Singh who was an inspiration to the young members because of his selfless hard work and the passion to do any sort of work for the club.
Ram Khajuria, president of the Club recounted the achievements and contribution of Narinder Singh, a trained mountaineer and Belayer, towards the promotion of Mountaineering, trekking, sport climbing and organisational matters of the club.
