67 dead, 4169 test COVID positive
Jammu Tawi, May 20: The Government on Thursday informed that4169 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19) 1518 from Jammu division and 2651from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 260057.Also 67 COVID-19 deaths have been reported,41 from Jammu Division and 26 from Kashmir Division.
Moreover, 4042 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 1533 from Jammu Division and 2509 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 260057 positive cases, 50554 are Active Positive, 206081 have recovered and 3422have died; 1612in Jammu division and 1810 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 8092877test results available, 7832820 samples have been tested as negative till 20thMay, 2021.
Till date 1999215 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 74131 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 50554 in isolation and 130671in home surveillance. Besides, 1740437 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Jammu has 46349 positive cases (including 499 cases reported today) with 7664 active positive cases, 37781recoveries (including 695 cases recovered today), 904 deaths; Udhampur has 9676 positive cases (including 180cases reported today), 1807active positive cases, 7761 recoveries (including211 cases recovered today)and108 deaths; Rajouri has 8623 positive cases (including 158 cases reported today)with 3446active positive, 5029recoveries (including 139 cases recovered today)and 148deaths; Doda has 4974 positive cases (including 79cases reported today)with1063Active positive, 3833 recovered (including 25 cases recovered today)and 78deaths; Kathua has 7920 positive cases (including 174 cases reported today), 1311 active positive cases, 6500recovered(including 197cases recovered today) and 109deaths; Kishtwar has 3692 positive cases (including 55 cases reported today)with 460 Active Positive, 3205 recoveriesand27 deaths; Samba has 6072 positive cases (including 117 cases reported today)with 2274 active positive cases, 3705 recoveries (including 83 cases recovered today)and 93 deaths; Poonch has 4568 positive cases (including 56 cases reported today)with1320active positive, 3177recoveries (including 109 cases recovered today)and 71 deaths; Rambanhas 4109 positive cases (including 124 cases reported today)with929 active positive cases, 3135 recoveriesand 45 deaths while Reasi has 4727 positive (including 76 cases reported today)with 642 active positive cases, 4056 recoveries (including74 cases recovered today)and 29 deaths.
Similarly, Srinagar has 60540 positive cases (including 674 cases reported today) with 6953 Active Positive, 52872recovered (including 1043cases recovered today), 715 deaths; Baramulla has 19056 positive cases (including 333 cases reported today)with 2971Active Positive, 15855recovered (including 146 cases recovered today), 230 deaths; Budgam reported 17656 positive cases (including393 cases reported today)with 4376 active positive cases, 13119 recovered (including 314cases recovered today), 161 deaths; Pulwama has 11372 positive cases (including 187 cases reported today)with2536Active Positive, 8689recovered (including 76 cases recovered today)and 147 deaths; Kupwara has 10012 positive cases (including 206 cases reported today), 1840 Active Positive, 8042recoveries (including 127 cases recovered today), 130 deaths; Anantnag district has 12947 positive cases (including 255 cases reported today)with 4336 Active Positive, 8018recovered (including 203 cases recovered today), 143 deaths; Bandipora has 7552 positive cases (including215 cases reported today), with1142Active Positive and 6328 recoveries (including 86cases recovered today),82 deaths; Ganderbal has 7401 positive cases (including 117cases reported today)with 1069Active Positive, 6267 recoveries (including 111 cases recovered today)and65deaths; Kulgam has 8469 positive cases (including 206 cases reported today)with 3389 Active Positive, 4992recoveries (including255 cases recovered today)and 88 deaths while as Shopian has 4792 positive cases (including 65 cases reported today),1026active positive cases, 3717 recoveries (including 148 cases recovered today)and49 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 260057 positive cases in J&K, 21149have been reported as travelers while 238908as others.
