Jammu Tawi, Nov 06: Dr. Vikas Sharma S/o Sh. Harbans Lal Sharma and Pushplata Sharma, R/o Channi Himmat, Jammu gets Best Academician Award 2021 for his academic excellence and contributions in the field of Biochemistry This prestigious award contains a Certificate of Excellence, a momento along with lifetime professional membership of Agro Environmental Development Society (AEDS), a scientific organization, for the promotion of agriculture, environment and biological sciences across the world for the welfare of human being. Working as a Asstt. Professor in the Division of Biochemistry, FBSc., SKUAST-J, Dr. Sharma has guided 06 Ph.D and 06 MSc. students as a Major Advisor in the field of bioprospection of medicinal plants from Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, DNA barcoding of scab effecting different apple species and diversity analysis of apricot species in J&K. He has authored 04 books and published 60 full length research papers in refereed journals of National and International repute. As an Incharge Academics from the last 07 years, he is managing academic affairs of Biochemistry Department.
