Shastri Nagar GHSS won the zonal competition

Sept 15 : Shastri Nagar Government Girls Higher Secondary School won four out of five competitions held under Gandhi
Mahotsav at the zonal level in district Jammu. 80 students from 14 schools of Jammu participated in this competition held in Gandhinagar.
Essay writing, Painting competition, Slogan writing, Poem Recitation and Speech/Declamation were held in this zonal level competition.
Karmanakshi, a student of Shastri Nagar Government Girls Higher Secondary School, secured first position in the Essay writing
competition. Simran Kaur of Digiana High School stood second, Sakshi Thakur of Kahna Chhadgal Government Higher Secondary School
stood third. Consolation prize will be given to Sonia Kumari of High School Pul Tawi.
On the other hand, Neha Rana of Shastri Nagar Government Girls Higher Secondary School took first place in the Poem Recitation.
Neha is a student of class 11th. The second position was secured by Sonia Rani of Higher Secondary School, Bahufort and Saloni of
Government High School, Deli secured the third position. In the Painting competition, Damanpreet Kaur of Government Shastri Nagar
Higher Secondary School secured first position. In this competition, Komal of Government Middle School Gorkha Nagar stood second and
Prince of Government High School, Gandhinagar stood third.
Not only this, Rabia Kausar, a student of Shastri Nagar Government Girls Higher Secondary School, also won the slogan writing
competition. She ranked first. The second position was secured by Saffa Arif of Government Higher Secondary School, Bahufort, and the
third position by Razina of Government High School, Bathindi.
In the speech competition, Shahanshah Jahan, a student of Government High School, Digiana, secured the first position and Khushboo
Kapoor, a student of Shastri Nagar Government Girls Higher Secondary School, made the school proud by securing the second position.
In this competition, Tanu of Government High School Deoli stood third. Under the chairmanship of Monika Jamwal, teacher of Shastri
Nagar Government Girls Higher Secondary School, the students of the school displayed their talent brilliantly. Under the able leadership of
Monika Jamwal, Shastri Nagar School is performing well in the ongoing competitions under Swachh Bharat Mission and Gandhi Mahotsav.
On the other hand, Zonal Incharge Cultural Cell Gaurav Sharma congratulated all the students. He said that the girls are performing well in
every competition.

Geetu Bangotra, Principal of Shastri Nagar School, congratulated and blessed all the girls while congratulating the teacher Monika Jamwal.
He said that the girls have been successful in celebrating their talent. Today girls are not behind men in any field. He said that for a bright
future, it is necessary that every girl child should be educated and actively participate in every activity. He said that victory and defeat
belong to those who enter the field. If you want to move forward, you have to get down on the field. Defeat is never a defeat, every defeat
goes by teaching something or the other. He said that the children of all the schools are trying to give their best. Jay Very good.
According to the new guidelines issued, only one has to win, but it does not mean that the losers are weak. All the children are full of
talent. He expressed hope that in future also the girls of our school will perform like this. Appreciating the efforts of the top officers of
the School Department, he said that this platform is the result of their visionary thinking, which is paving the way for the
girls.
