Shab-e-Qadr to be observed tonight

Srinagar, Apr 27: Considered as better than one thousand months, the Muslims are all across the will observe the holy Shab-e-Qadr or Lailat-ul-Qadr with religious fervor and reverence tonight.

The biggest congregational prayer is expected at Dargah Hazratbal where the authorities have made special arrangements and also issued an elaborate traffic plan to ensure smooth passage to the vehicular movement.

Muslims traditionally observe the occasion through nightlong special prayers, Quran Khwani, religious discussions at Masjids and in their houses.

This is one of the holiest and most blessed nights, which is likely to occur on one of the odd nights in the last 10 days of Ramadan and most likely to be the 27th of the holy month.

Special arrangements have been made for special prayers in Masjids and the shrines across the Valley to mark the event.
