Secy Cooperative lays foundation Stone of GDC

Secretary Cooperatives, Abdul Majeed Bhat today laid foundation stone of Government Degree College Udhipora Langate in presence of District Development Commissioner Kupwara Anshul Garg.
The college campus being developed over 51 Kanal land would have 9739 Sqm building area and is targeted to be completed in two working seasons at an estimated cost of Rs 12.50 crore.
A huge gathering of people was present on the occasion who expressed gratitude to the Governor's administration for resolving their long pending demand.
Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary said that the Government has initiated several measures for strengthening educational infrastructure in the state to benefit stakeholders in the catchment areas.
He said that the work on the project will be started immediately and the institution will prove a milestone in further strengthening the higher standards in the area .
DDC Kupwara, in his address, said that every possible effort will be made to develop the educational institution at par with other degree colleges of the district.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Handwara, Principal Government Degree College Handwara, Exen R&B and other officials, besides a large number of students were also present on the occasion.
