Samsung Devices Eligible for the Highly-Anticipated Android 15-Based OneUI 7 Update

    Date:

Samsung phone and tablet users have been eagerly awaiting details of the next major OneUI update which is expected to be OneUI 7, based on the newly launched Android 15 platform. While Samsung did not participate in the Android 15 beta programme, reports have surfaced that OneUI 7 is already being internally tested for the upcoming Galaxy S24 series of flagship phones.

It is anticipated that OneUI 7 will bring several new features and improvements to Samsung devices, however official details are still scarce. Samsung has traditionally aimed to support multiple generations of devices with major OS upgrades, and early indications suggest OneUI 7 may rollout to over 30 Samsung models in the second half of 2024.

The full list of Samsung Galaxy phones likely to receive OneUI 7 includes the S21 series and newer S phones, as well as recent Z Flip and Z Fold foldable models. OneUI 7 should also come to a wide selection of Galaxy A, M and F series mid-range models from the past two years. Samsung's range of Galaxy Tab tablets stretching back to the Tab S9 are also on the expected upgrade list.

Notably, Samsung has committed to providing up to 7 years of OS updates for the upcoming S24 series, reflecting the company's focus on long-term support. OneUI 7 promises to deliver the latest Android features and security patches to many popular Samsung devices, ensuring they stay powered by the newest mobile OS for years to come.
