    ‘Sahibi-Saftami’ Hawan solemnized with fervour

    Tawi: Kanyaghrat Hawan was performed with religious fervour at Mata Shree Roopa Bhawani Temple, Talab Tilloo, here today. On this occasion, Shri Alakh Sahiba Trust organizes Hawan every year in which devotees from all over Jammu and took part with enthusiasm and fervour. An incarnation of Shree Sharika Bhagwati, the Adhishthatri deity of Kashmir has the devotee followings throughout the . This day is celebrated to pay reverence to Mata Shree Roopbhawani popularly known as Alakh Sahib / Rup Ded. Mata Shree Roopbhawani, who considered Lal Ded and her father Pt Madhoo Joo Dhar as her Guru enlightened Kashmiri society with her mystic vakhs which showed the path of self-realization and moksha from this world. The celebrations of Hawan started yesterday evening with Kalsh Pooja followed by 1st Suhakar. The devotees assembled throughout the night.  The whole parisar of Mata Shree reverberated with the singing of Bhajans and Mata Shree Roopbhawani`s Aradhana. Simultaneously Havan's were solemnized at Waskura, Manigam, Lar and Cheshma Sahibi in Kashmir Valley and Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad in Delhi NCR. The devotees present on the occasion recited Mata's Rehas-e-Updesh. Hawan culminated with Puran Ahuti today which was followed by distribution of Prashad among the devotees.
