Jammu, Apr 01: Considering his performance in the just concluded 45th Senior Masters Badminton Championship at Goa, Romesh Kumar Sharma, who retired from Jal Shakti Department of J&K, has been selected to represent the country in the World Masters Championship to be held in South Korea in September.
Romesh, who won two Silver medals in men doubles and mixed doubles events in 60 plus category, has been named in the selection list of players released by the Badminton Association of India (BAI).
Subsequently, the BAI has informed its affiliated state/UT units regarding the selection. “As per present criteria, one to four players in all categories are selected for the World Masters Championships, so please confirm the participation on or before April 15,” a letter circulated by the BAI mentioned.
