Reasi Badminton C’ship concludes

Reasi, Nov 9:  Three days district ‘Reasi  Badminton Championship’ tournament concluded today at indoor stadium Maari Reasi.Shailender Singh Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi was chief guest at the final  match event.85 Players from different parts of Reasi & coaches participated. In a series of sixty Two matches 35 players for ‘Men single’ & 50 players for ‘Men Double’ players played in closely contested matches for Championship Title.Shivam Gupta and Sunit Sharma Played final for Men Single, in which Shivam stood as Winner whereas Abinav Sharma, Ankush Sharma and Shivam Gupta, Sunit Sharma Played final match for men double. In which Shivam and Sunit became Champions by defeating Ankush  and Abhinav by 2/0 Points. Winners of the event shall participate in the Championship UT of J&K. Badminton Players of Reasi have made to finals in recent past.Singh conveyed that Jammu and Kashmir Police is organizing such events under Civic Action Programme of J&K Police with the aim to provide platform for the youth  so that they can show their hidden talent and youth of J&K have been taking the benefits of these activities Organised by Jammu Kashmir Police from time to time.SSP expressed youth are asset & future for the nation and further added that Sports activities are prerequisite for a healthy youth and youth of Reasi are participating in these  events with enthusiasm.Surinder Sharma President Badminton Association Reasi expressed gratitude to J&K police & SSP for sparing his time from his busy schedule to promote sports activities in Reasi which is required for welfare of youth of the district.
