Privilege motion against Early Times Editor dropped

Tawi, February 22: A meeting of Committee on Privileges (PC) of Jammu and Assembly today dropped a Privilege Motion initiated against the chief editor of a leading local Daily Early Times.

The Privilege motion was moved by the MLA, Usman Abdul Majid. A decision to this affect was taken in a meeting of members of JK Assembly's Privilege Committee chaired by MLA, Mohammad Yousuf Bhat.

However, a condition was imposed that the newspaper would publish a corrigendum over misreporting.

The Committee decided that another petition given by R S Pathania against the Commissioner Secretary, will be discussed in its next meeting.
