Katra, Mar 01: Ahead of J&K Union Territory’s maiden budget session Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president and Union Health Minister J P Nadda on Saturday asked the party legislators to prioritize constituency development and maintain deep connections with the electorate.
Nadda, while addressing the concluding session of two-day BJP workshop here, according to the news agency said, “Posts are transient, but the trust of the people is enduring.”
He advised legislators to proactively engage with communities through platforms like Krishi Vigyan Kendras, Asha workers’ meetings, and parent-teacher interactions in government schools.
Nadda emphasized the need for MLAs to be “good listeners” to effectively resolve public grievances and regularly visit SC/ST communities to ensure inclusive development.
Nadda also visited the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine and paid obeisance. He was accompanied by his wife, Malika, union minister, BJP national general secretary and J&K in-charge Tarun Chugh, and party’s J&K unit president Sat Sharma.
Pertinently, Nadda participated in the workshop, ‘Vidahayak Prashikshan Shivir’, that aims to prepare BJP legislators for active participation in the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Budget session slated to commence on March 3 in Jammu.
The workshop commenced on Friday at Katra. It was inaugurated by BJP national general secretary (organization) B. L. Santosh, along with national IT and social media head Amit Malviya.
They highlighted the importance of “Karyakarta Nirman” and urged MLAs to rise above the allure of political posts. The workshop was organized for the 28 BJP MLAs, most of whom are first-time legislators.
Nadda offers prayer at Mata Vaishno Devi
Jammu Tawi, Mar 1: BJP National President and Union Minister for Health, Chemicals and Fertilizers, J P Nadda on Saturday paid obeisance at Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine.
Anshul Garg, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board received the Union Minister and briefed him about the various initiatives undertaken by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board including the upcoming Medical College being set up at Kakryal.
The CEO highlighted the Board’s efforts to upgrade and expand the existing infrastructure to provide enhanced facilities and services to the ever-increasing number of pilgrims visiting the Holy Shrine.
Nadda expressed appreciation for the endeavors of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board aimed at facilitating the journey and holy Darshans of the pilgrims.
