Possibility of Indo-Pak talks continues to be dim

Date:

Tawi, December 24 (KIP):-Possibilities of talks between and
Pakistan continue to be dim. Even in the light of Pakistan Army
Chief,Gen. Bajwa, suggesting to the Government in Islamabad that the
Pak Army was prepared to resolve various issues between India and
Pakistan for ensuring peace.

And within 24 hours of the announcement made by Gen. Bajwa the
Pakistani troops violated ceasefire in Rajouri in which one major an d
three soldiers were killed. If this is the reply from Pakistan how
could New Delhi be motivated to reopen channels of dialogue with
Islamabad ?

Though the Army Chief of Pakistan supported peace process and
dialogue with India but he remained mum on the preconditions imposed
by India for the resumption of talks. India has made it clear to
Pakistan that it should stop export of terror to India and win d up
all the training camps where militants are given training in handling
of arms and explosives.

But during the last three years the only response from
Pakistan is to violate ceasefire agreement and help militants in
sneaking into Jammu and . This way the bilateral talks between India
and Pakistan seem to be unlikely.

And Islamabad's secret support to Hafiz Saeed considered to be
the mastermind behind the Mumbai carnage of 2008 is an insult to India
and the US. Hence action needed to be taken against Saeed to motivate
India for resumption of talks. (KIP)
