    Police Conduct Surprise Locker Checks of Doctors and Staff in Ganderbal Hospitals

    SRINAGAR, Nov 21: In a move aimed at tightening security and ensuring accountability within healthcare institutions, Ganderbal Police on Thursday carried out surprise inspections of lockers belonging to doctors and hospital staff across the district.

    A police spokesperson said coordinated teams of police and hospital authorities conducted the checks to ensure transparency and adherence to security protocols. The exercise sought to prevent misuse of hospital premises, curb illegal activities and reinforce discipline within medical institutions.

    During the inspection, all staff lockers and storage spaces were thoroughly examined. Police also briefed medical and paramedical staff on maintaining vigilance, reporting suspicious activity and ensuring that hospital facilities are not misused for any purpose.

    Police officials said similar checking drives will continue to safeguard public institutions and maintain a secure environment for patients, attendants and healthcare workers. J&K Police also urged all hospital staff to cooperate with security measures and comply with established guidelines for the broader safety of the community. (Agencies)
